The Australia-Indonesia Institute (AII) invites applications from young people, aged between 21 and 25 (at the time of application) , willing to represent Australia for two months in Indonesia during December 2008 and January 2009 as members of the AIYEP 2008-09.The program aims to provide wider opportunities for young people of Indonesia and Australia to appreciate the culture, development and way of life of each other's country.

Participants will be chosen from applicants undertaking tertiary studies or employed in any one or more of the areas listed below:

Agriculture, Arts, Music, Asian Studies, Economics, Business, Education, Engineering, Science, Environmental Management, Journalism, Media, Law, Medicine, Politics, Sports and Tourism.
A good level of Indonesian language is desirable.
